Combining a Haze hybrid with a Northern Lights #5 and Shiva Skunk, breeders created Jack Herer in hopes of capturing both the cerebral elevation associated with sativas and the heavy resin production of indicas.

This strain ranks as the most awarded variety in the history of harvest festivals. With nine awards and counting, it is the pinnacle of recognition for any strain. Yet, Jack Herer manages to go a step further and bears the distinction of being distributed under prescription by Dutch pharmacies as a recognized variety of medicinal-grade cannabis. Its rich genetic background gives rise to several different variations of Jack Herer, each phenotype bearing its own unique features and effects.

Jack Herer is a high-quality strain that has a balanced structure thanks to its Sativa-Indica genetics. In its vegetated state, until it reaches flowering, this plant presents a completely Indica structure. As the plant evolves to a state of maturity, the Sativa side is reflected. Finally, in its flowering state, it presents voluminous flowers in the calyx of the plant, full of resin trichomes.
