Cherry Pie is an Indica-dominant strain derived from Cherry Pie (Granddaddy Purple x Durban Poison) x Gelato (Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Cookies). Cherry Pie is certainly one of the best-smelling strains on the market, but it also has much more to offer, making it fantastic all around.
Cherry Pie is a strain that has typical traits of a Sativa strain, but its Indica structure gives it a great advantage. Its sturdy stem and branches will not require support and it can handle different training methods. As long as you are careful, the risk of branches breaking is minimal. It is kept fairly small, so it can easily fit in medium-sized grow tents and is inconspicuous when planted outdoors. Exposing the plant to cooler temperatures during dark cycles in the last weeks of flowering can help transform it into a purple-leaved beauty. The buds will develop purple flecks, which significantly increases its bag appeal. Cherry Pie needs a comfortable room temperature of around 70 to 80 ‘ F and flourishes in a semi-humid environment that registers an RH level of 40 to 50%. Keep it well pruned to prevent moisture build-up and mold and mildew attacks.
