BLUEBERRY (AFGHANI X THAI X PURPLE THAI)

Blueberry is an Indica-dominant strain that has been obtained from a cross between Afghani x Thai x Purple Thai. It’s genetics makes this plant qualify as one of the best Indica for smoking. West Coast Blueberry since the 1970s, is a combination of three iconic landraces. Afghani needs little introduction and is the source of the Indica strength of her hybrid offspring. On the other hand, the Thai and Purple Thai genes bring a happy and uplifting influence. This is one of the reasons that people have turned to this strain in their fight against depression.

Blueberry is a sight to behold. If there was a beauty pageant for cannabis plants, this charmer would surely take home the crown. Bushy and branching, its thick foliage displays a wide range of colors as it matures. The greens and yellows can turn purple if the plant is exposed to cold temperatures. Their huge tails also sport shades of green, lavender, and purple. Upon closer inspection, the dense, tight buds captivate with their crystal glaze. Similar to the image of melting snow as spring approaches, the plant’s thick resin is, in fact, proof of its potency. The scattering of curly amber pistils adds more decoration the already beautiful buds.

In places where the outdoor climate is not ideal, growing indoors is a better option. Growers will first need to decide which medium to use. Soil provides a better flavor profile, while hydroponics allows for a higher growth rate.
