Purple Chocolope (F)

DNA GENETICS > PURPLE CHOCOLOPE (CHOCOLATE THAI X CANNALOPE HAZE [PURPLE PHENO])

These cannabis seeds are moderately easy to grow. They require a little TLC with training and pest protection.

We made the Purple Chocolope by selecting a purple pheno of Chocoloope to pay ohmage of the Chocolope strains of the 80s.

Purple Chocolope: The Backstory

We created Purple Chocolope seeds to pay homage to the Chocolate strains of the 1980s. The parent strains are Chocolate Thai and Cannalope Haze. They provide the decadent chocolate-like flavor and high bag appeal.

Chocolate Thai boasts comforting flavors of coffee, nuttiness, and hints of herbal spice. It’s a sativa with energizing, euphoric effects. Expert growers are more likely to have success with this strain. It’s prone to overstretching and pests.

Cannalope Haze is a powerful sativa that offers an energizing, euphoric buzz. The smoke is sweet and fruity with floral undertones. It has a unique tropical taste delivered through light, silky smoke. Beginners can successfully grow Cannalope Haze. It thrives in almost any setup.

Expert tips for Cultivating Purple Chocolope Seeds

Purple Chocolope seeds are moderately easy to grow. Similar to Chocolate Thai, they’re susceptible to pests and overstretching. Cannalope Haze lends some of its easy-growing qualities to this cultivar.

Outdoor growers use netting and predatory insects to prevent pests. Natural treatments, like neem oil, also protect your plants. Opt for indoor growing if your area is ridden with pests.

Companion planting helps you kill two birds with one stone. Plants like dill, basil, and peppermint keep pests away and attract predatory insects. They also release strong aromas that disguise the scent of cannabis.

Use low-stress training (LST) techniques to prevent overstretching. It evens the canopy and helps the buds at the bottom get more light.

Plants overstretch if they don’t have adequate light. LST manipulates the branches horizontally, which improves light distribution. Ensure the lamps are 16–36 inches from the plant canopy. This measurement ensures they get sufficient access without having to reach up excessively.

Purple Chocolope is a potent strain. Enhance the THC levels by applying stress methods. “No pain, no gain” applies to cannabis plants, too.

The easiest method is to cut the water supply several days before harvest to create drought-like conditions. The stress triggers the plants to produce more resin as a protective measure.

Get your jars ready, because this strain gives you enough buds to stock up your shelf. The flowering phase is around 8–9 weeks. The indoor yield is 19–21 oz./m². Outdoor growers can collect a whopping 21–28 oz./plant.
