WHITE WIDOW (BRAZILIAN LANDRACE SATIVA X SOUTH INDIAN INDICA)
This strain has won so many awards, they are impossible to count! Developed in the Netherlands, White Widow is one of the best-balanced hybrids on the planet. Dutch breeders created this legendary strain by crossing the Brazilian Sativa landrace with a heavy resin-producing Indica from South India. The result is a strain that is so crystal-covered and powerful that it became an instant classic.
This hybrid plant is one of the world’s most famous and beloved. The quality of cannabis produced in ideal conditions is far superior to most other strains, leading to its status as one of the best buds in the world. White Widow has spawned dozens of other strains including Black Widow, Blue Widow, White Russian, and White Rhino. Every grower should try this strain at least once!
White Widow is short and stocky, making it perfect for SOG and SCROG training methods. Plant the seeds in well-drained, rich, organic soil and provide plenty of ventilation for indoor grows. Internode spacing is short, so keep humidity levels somewhat low, allow plants to dry out a bit between watering, and keep the air moving in the room to avoid mold growth. If grown outdoors, this strain needs plenty of sun, but is heart and cold-resistant. White Widow rarely needs fertilizers and can survive in nearly any environment. Yields are average indoors and outdoors, but there is nothing average about the quality of this strain.
White Widow gives off a strong head-high that is typical of Sativa-dominant strains. If plants are flushed properly, the flavor is clean and piney with a pungent, earthy kick. The finish is citrusy and refreshing. The high starts off activating, but will become a strong couch-lock if smoked heavily. This is one of the best strains for stress-induced migraines.
